Rahul is an internationally experienced Chief Technology Officer / CIO with a successful background in B2B, B2C, retail, consumer, communications, publishing, media and entertainment, digital and e-commerce. His recent experience includes VP of Global IT (Strategy & PMO) for Universal Music Group.
Rahul has worked for world-class organisations. He has a very strong software design and development background. He is commercially and technically-aware with broad IT leadership and ‘digital shift’ experience, including Software as a Service, Cloud-based computing and managed / hosted service environments.
Rahul has also demonstrated a strategic approach to successful IT management, engaging with key business stakeholders and third parties, delivering ‘cost appropriate’ IT solutions and business process change via emerging technology solutions. He has strong PMO (Project Management Office) experience having introduced best practice frameworks, methods and standards, and he has provided coaching / mentoring services to grow organisational capabilities and performance.
He has a first class degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of East London, a Ph.D in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Kings College, London and an MBA (distinction) from the University of Liverpool. He is a member of the Institute of Directors.
