Scoping the Engagement

Once an investor has notified Intuitus of the potential need for an IT or Technology Due Diligence Assessment, the first step will be to agree a scope of work for the engagement that pinpoints the most likely areas of risk. A good starting point for relevant context will usually be an Information Memorandum or Business Plan.

Intuitus recognises that investors will not always know where IT-related risks may lie so we pay a lot of attention to the nature of the investee’s business (and where company valuation is most exposed to IT or technology operations) and to the type of transaction and we propose a scope of work to the investor that is right for the deal.

This will be captured in an engagement letter that will also confirm the time-table, deliverables, fees and the relevant experience of the consultant(s) that will perform the work.

''The Intuitus consultant quickly demonstrated a detailed understanding of the company’s systems.''
